THE BAND

The Blue Party is an AMERIPARTY band located in New Orleans, LA.

It’s in the name. The Blue Party isn’t just a band, but quite literally a traveling party (often borderline circus). They began in New Orleans three years ago, promoting themselves as a “house party” band that guaranteed a great time with great music as long as you provided the house or venue. After a year of house parties, venue shows, and festivals in New Orleans, the band took their strategy to the road, playing as many parties as they could all across the country. It’s no wonder the Marquette University newspaper in Milwaukee apply dubbed their musical genre “Ameriparty.”

Fast forward and find that, in the last 12 months alone, The Blue Party has managed to play over 100 shows without the help of a label, manager, agent, or investor. While the band has put in plenty of its own work, the growth of the band can be attributed to an energetic live show and a devout network of fans all over the Southeast and the Midwest evolving out of the band’s original party strategy. The Blue Party has performed at major festivals from New Orleans to Michigan, gotten airplay in markets as big as Kansas City, garnered press all over the country, fan-funded their debut album, and consistently drawn crowds of 150+ in markets across the Southeast and Midwest.

At the end of the day, Tuscaloosa’s Wellthatscool.com says it best: “We just describe them as a band that makes everyone want to dance and not feel un-cool about doing it. It is next to impossible not to have fun with these guys.”
